ABOUT

Plants have used it for thousands of years.

With PHC® Myconate,® each plant’s root system is enhanced by mycorrhizal fungi which provide more surface area to retrieve moisture and nutrients from the soil.

Approximately 95% of all plant species in the world are dependent on mycorrhizal fungi, which are naturally found in soil and contributes to healthy root development. Unfortunately, the degree of natural mycorrhizal development is not predictable. In agricultural operations, it is even more difficult to gauge mycorrhizal populations because they can be affected by fertilizers, herbicides and other pest management chemicals.

Myconate contains a naturally occurring botanical compound that encourages more mycorrhizal fungi to colonize on the roots of your crops. It was discovered by scientists at Michigan State University in the 1990s. They developed a process to synthesize the compound, making it available now in commercial quantities.

Small amounts of Myconate, when added to soil during planting, help activate the mycorrhizal colonization on roots. This enhances root function, even during drought, stress or other conditions like low soil fertility. It gives crops an extra measure of defense against whatever the season may hold.

Farmers have seen considerable yield advantage when using Myconate, especially on acres that suffer from overworked soil or lack of moisture.
